Set Dances
There are a number of solo dances that were popular in the area in times past. In conversation with Paddy O’Sullivan (Moulcore) a number of years ago he told me that the ‘Job of journeywork’ was a tune his father was particulary fond of and played it on the fiddle. Another local favouite was ‘The Blackbird’.
